If you've already been generating solar but sending energy to the grid instead of storing it, a standard solar inverter will need to be upgraded to a hybrid inverter to accommodate a battery. A hybrid inverter is designed to handle both solar panels and battery storage. If your existing inverter isn’t compatible with batteries, as part of your upgrade, you'll need this so that your new battery can charge and discharge properly with your solar system.  Our batteries are compatible with a range of third Party Inverters.
